YEAR 7, 2021

High school brings a great number of changes, but MCS Year 7 students have tackled these hurdles with ease. Transitioning from Year 6 to Year 7 can be a course of anxiety, but Year 7 has spoken up about any concerns and tackled them head on.

Students have been experiencing a variety of new subjects including Visual Arts, Music,

Japanese, Woodwork, Metalwork and STEM, along with some old favourites from primary school like Maths, English, HSIE and PE. Students have adjusted well to moving between classrooms and teachers and should be proud of their efforts.

Year 7 Year Advisor, Miss McKay is incredibly proud of the welcoming and supportive attitude Year 7 has shown as they have started the school year. Students have gone out of their way to be inclusive, particularly of students from schools other than MCS. Students have shown a positive attitude to the new experiences offered to them, with enthusiasm towards subjects and teachers. It is hoped Year 7 will continue this positive experience throughout their high school career.

Students are reminded to check their timetable each evening to ensure they’re bringing the correct equipment each day, including uniform and shoe changes.

YEAR 7 GOOGLE CLASSROOM

All Year 7 students should now be a part of the Year 7 google classroom. Teachers will post announcements and assessments relevant to Year 7 in this space. Parents and carers are reminded to send an email to laura.mckay7@det.nsw.edu.au if they wish to be included as a guardian in this classroom, allowing them to receive an email update of the work to be completed.

YEAR 11

Year 11 started back fresh on Friday, 29th January after a well-deserved break and ready to take on their first year as seniors of the school. Dressed in their senior uniform with folder and books in hand they set off to class with a positive mindset and goals to achieve. While they navigate their way through subjects they have selected, as well as other career opportunities, such as TAFE and the Life Ready course, Year 11 have chosen different pathways that will no doubt lead them to successful lives.

Year 11 look forward to developing their skills and knowledge in a variety of subjects and have settled well into senior schooling. Pictured below are Year 11 engaging in English lessons and wearing their senior uniform with pride. Well done Year 11 on a great start to the year.

YEAR 12 - 2021

Year 12 chose the underwater theme as their mode of dress for their final swimming carnival at Molong Central School.

It was a fantastic fun day for them. Unfortunately, the flippers may have been more of a hindrance than a help in the novelty races, or the highly anticipated “Teacher versus Year 12” race.

As the countdown continues to their HSC they are looking forward to more memorable days.
