CSEF

The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) provides payments for eligible students to attend activities like:

  • school camps or trips
  • swimming and school-organised sport programs
  • outdoor education programs
  • excursions and incursions.

The annual CSEF amount per student is:

     • $125 for primary school students

     • $225 for secondary school students.

Further information will be emailed to all families on EdSmart next week.  Please be sure to respond on that EdSmart form.

Victorian Conveyancing Allowance

The Department of Education and Training (the Department) provides travel assistance in the form of a conveyance allowance to help families in rural and regional Victoria with the cost of transporting their children to their nearest appropriate school/campus. The conveyance allowance is a contribution towards transport costs and is not intended to cover the full cost of transporting children to and from school. The allowance is an acknowledgement of the limited government-provided transport infrastructure available outside metropolitan Melbourne.  To be eligible for the conveyance allowance a student must reside 4.8 km or more from school.

Application forms must be completed and returned to the school.  Those who have done this in previous years don't need to apply again unless they have moved or other details have changed (e.g. new student in the family, started/stopped using the bus etc).   You can download and complete an application form by clicking on the appropriate link below.

NSW School Drive Subsidy

The School Drive Subsidy is administered by Transport for NSW and is available to NSW residents in areas where there is no public transport, to drive an eligible student all or part of the way to school. The subsidy is only intended to partly offset the cost of using a private vehicle to drive the eligible student and is not intended to cover all costs. The subsidy is for driving school students to school or to the nearest transport pick up point, by car, motorcycle or boat.

Any school families who are NSW residents can find more information about the subsidy and complete an online application by visiting this website.   https://apps.transport.nsw.gov.au/ssts/#/schoolDriveSubsidy

Collection Notice for parents/guardians 2021 Student Residential Address and Other Information

The Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment (the department) would like to advise you that a request has been made for your child’s school to provide residential address and other information as required under the Australian Education Regulation 2013 (Cth).

This is now a routine task required of all non-government schools.

A statement of addresses contains the following information about each student at the school:

  • Student residential address (not student names)
  • Student level of education (i.e. whether the student is a primary or secondary student)
  • Student boarding school status (i.e. whether the student is boarding or a day student)
  • Names and residential addresses of students’ parent(s) and/or guardian(s)

Schools generate a record number for each student for the purposes of this collection, which is also provided to the department.

Purpose of the collection

The Student Residential Address and Other Information Collection (the Collection) informs Australian Government school education policy and helps ensure funding for non-government schools is based on need.

The information collected will be used to inform school funding calculations. It is combined with data held by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) to calculate a non-government school community’s anticipated capacity to contribute to the costs of schooling.

The full details of this collection, as well as the contact details should you have any queries or concerns, can be found in the full notice attached below.
