Staff Profile

David Boulton

I have been a member of staff at Scoresby Secondary College since 2017 after accepting the role as Specialist Technician for the College.

Prior to this I had been supporting various schools within DET  Technical Support to  Schools Program across the state spanning from northern Victoria down to north-east metropolitan area.

Before starting as a specialist technician, I worked in the private education sector supporting international schools. This gave me a wide birth of experience with opportunity/partnership with schools in both Asia and the United Kingdom, to grow my knowledge and experience learning about emerging technology.

I have only spent six months working outside of the education sector since finishing my school years. During this time, I was employed as the personal IT Assistant to the CEO of BHP. This was an experience that taught me the importance of why the education sector is more open to the adoption of technology and willingness to experiment with the latest technologies available.

As a specialist technician to the Department of Education and Training, I provide onsite support to all staff and students at Scoresby Secondary College as a key member of the ICT team at the college. My key areas are to provide the college with technical support along with the planning and implementing the colleges IT vision.

Outside of my time working as a Specialist Technician, I find myself spending many hours on the lawn bowls greens. With my growing family of two children I have pulled back my time spent playing bowls to focus on spending time with my kids and watching them grow as one has just started his school journey as prep student this year.
