Homework
Students are expected to be reading every night, they should also be practising their SMART Spelling words a couple of times a week, and times tables for Maths. They also have access to personalised learning goals in Essential Assessment under the 'My Literacy' and 'My Numeracy' buttons.
We have just introduced a new homework activity for students to complete at home. Some may have already told you about it.
We are wanting to add some colour and inspiration to our communal area outside our classrooms, we have asked that students create a poster (no bigger than A4) with a kindness quote.
We look forward to seeing what the students come up with.
BUDDY PROGRAM
The Grade 6 and Prep Buddy program has been running this year. We started with having snack and lunch with our buddies every day for the first week, helping them to adjust to school life.
This term ( Every 2 weeks ) we have been organising buddy sessions. We have been doing a range of different activities, such as practising the national anthem, reading books, doing tabloid sports and doing some craft.
This week we made easter bunny masks for the preps and made an easter egg for each of the buddys to decorate, then find.
We all really enjoy our time with our buddies.
