National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence - Tuesday 14th of March, 2023
During week 7, Aberfeldie Primary School acknowledged the National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence. Throughout the day, classes engaged in learning about what bullying is, how to respond to bullying and learnt about bullying prevention. This learning supports the Social and Emotional curriculum at our school.
Students and staff were asked to dress in the colour orange and raise funds for the Alannah and Madeline Foundation. I am pleased to announce that the school raised $332.70! What a fabulous effort, well done. Those funds will be used to support children and young people be free from violence and trauma wherever they live, learn and play.
A big thank you to Michelle Ward, a parent from Aberfeldie Primary School, for taking the photos shown below. The word 'RESPECT' was captured in 2021, and Michelle returned to school to capture the word 'EVERYONE' in 2023. These photos will be displayed with pride in our administration building over the next few weeks.
