On Thursday 9th March, 21 students from Years 3 – 6 competed for the school in the Divisional Swimming Carnival. HOUSE TWILIGHT CARNIVAL (FOUNDATION – YEAR 2) – THURSDAY 16TH MARCH

A warm, but windy autumn night, watched by family and friends, allowed Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 students to enjoy a fun and active Twilight carnival. Dressed in their House colours, students participated enthusiastically in 6 activities – egg and spoon, sack races, 3 legged races, hurdles, sprints and throws. It was a wonderful school community event enjoyed by everyone. Thank you to all parents for supporting the HPE extra-curricula program.

A big thank you to the Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 teachers, the House Captains and Vice-captains and School Captains for their time and assistance to ensure the sports ran smoothly.

A collage of photos will be placed on the Sports Noticeboard (near the canteen), by the end of next week.

HOUSE ATHLETICS FOR YEARS 3 – 6: WEDNESDAY 5th APRIL (Ballam Park)

A reminder that the House Athletics Carnival will be held on the last Wednesday of term; all consent forms and payment should be received by Monday 28th March.

Just a few pointers and suggestions to assist parents with student preparation:

  • Students are encouraged to dress in their House Colours; school uniform if students don’t have suitable clothing in their House Colours. House Bibs will be provided for those students.
  • Students can spray their hair with house coloured hair spray, but this must be done at home.
  • Footwear – runners
  • Slip, slop slap – students to wear school hat (unless they have a broad-rimmed hat in house colours) and sunscreen.
  • Small back pack – containing their snack, lunch and a drink bottle.  Water is most suitable.
  • Asthmatics – if your child is an asthmatic, make sure they carry their ‘puffer’

Parent Helpers for the day are still required. Please send a note with your child if you are able to help on the day.
