Congratulations to all of our amazing students for all that they have achieved in Term 1! Over the past coup[le of weeks it has also been great to see so many families involved with the school and attending Writing Celebrations, gallery events, year level assemblies, the Year 6 Jumper presentation and Parents Association activities such as the prep Welcome Evening, the School Picnic and ASPS Fun Run - what a term!

School Run 4 Fun: April 4

Thank you to all of our wonderful parent volunteers, Mr Parhar and staff for helping make this year's Fun Run the success that it was! It was great to see everyone having so much fun on the day and thank you to families for supporting the school's fundraising aims! We  can continue to raise funds until 11:59pm tonight so please jump on line to make a contribution. 

 

We are just under 70% of our target to improve our school grounds & gardens. 

 

But we still have until Thursday 6 April, 11:59pm to reach our goal!

 

Congratulations to 1️⃣🅰️ who have a free-dress day. Well done 1A for your team effort!

 

🍕 Top 3 fundraising classes will win a pizza lunch. Currently top 5 classes in the lead are: 2A, Prep A, 2D, Prep D and 1A!

 

🛴 Razor Scooter prize: students raising more than $30 go into the draw for a razor scooter (currently 283 students are eligible)

 

🛵 Electric Scooter Prize: students raising more than $80 go into the draw for an electric scooter (currently 147 students are eligible)

 

💰 $10,000 JB HI FI Voucher - the highest fundraising student at the school will go into the national draw to win a $10,000 JB Hi-Fi Shopping Spree.

 

🎮 Play Station 5 Gaming Bundle for the Australia's highest fundraiser.

Morning drop-off &   Afternoon pick-up 

A reminder to all families to observe the parking signage at our Kiss & Drop Zone (2 minutes) on Burgess Street. You must stay in your vehicle and stay no longer than 2 minutes.

 

Abiding by these rules provides a safer and accessible drop off/pick up space for your children. 

Note that accessible parking spots are only to be used by families with accredited permits

School Council Update 

As per the last edition of the newsletter, long-time School Council member and president, Simon McCarthy, has retired from the ASPS School Council. On behalf of the school community, I would like to thank Simon for his service to the school.  Staff were able to thank Simon in person at a staff meeting earlier in the week.

 

I would also like to thank the following parents and staff who have finished their terms as members of our School Council - some of whom, were a great support to the school during the most difficult years of the pandemic:
