Reminders:
Morning Routine and Expectations
This is a friendly reminder of the importance of being on time in the morning. Please ensure your child arrives no later than 8:55am at the Ferrars Street door. This ensures we can begin classroom learning at 9:00am on Level 5. For any arrivals after 8:55am please report to the office via the main entrance. The side door will shut at 8:55am sharp.
Attendance:
In Prep we are proud of our students and their attendance at school. This is just a friendly reminder that daily school attendance is important for all children to succeed in education to ensure they don’t fall behind both socially and developmentally.
If a student has an attendance of below 90% for the whole year, this means that they would miss over 4 weeks of their education and nearly 100 learning sessions.
Please ensure any reasons for non – attendance e.g. medical, illness, holiday, parent choice are updated to Compass.
Any extended absences need to be discussed with classroom teachers so that a holiday learning plan can be put in place to ensure continuity of learning.
School Shoes:
In Prep we are continuing to notice that some students are still not wearing the correct school shoes. We kindly ask that you send your children to school wearing black, polishable shoes. If you have any questions or need further clarification, feel free to reach out to your child's class teacher.

Reminders:
Devices
Please make sure your child arrives at school every day with their iPad fully charged. We rely on these devices daily for educational purposes, and a low battery can significantly hinder the students' learning experience. We commend our students for their efforts in remembering this, but we kindly request your assistance in helping your child establish this routine. Your cooperation would be greatly appreciated.
Reminders:
Toys:
It is important that your child's toys remain at home and are not brought to school. At school, toys could be lost, broken or become a distraction. We are looking to avoid this situation with your support by reminding your child that the safest place for their toys is at home.
Devices:
Devices are an integral part of your child's day with many programs, including Seesaw and Maths Invaders to name a few, incorporated into lessons. It is important for your child to bring their device fully charged every day. Thank you for your support with this so far and we hope this will continue with your guidance in maintaining routines at home involving your child's device.

Reminders:
Devices
We have noticed an increase in devices coming to school with little to no charge on them. We always encourage students to be activity involved in the process of charging their own device as it is a great way to promote independence and responsibility. We ask that you please support your child to develop a routine around charging their device to ensure they start each school day with a fully charged device.

SEA In-visits
Over the next three weeks, Sex Education Australia will be running a one-hour session with each Year 4 class every Wednesday. Thank you to those parents who have already given permission for their child to participate. Please ensure you have responded to the event on Compass.
Laptops
Please support your child to ensure their laptop is charged each night so their learning is not impacted.
