What an action packed Term One we have had and there's still two weeks to go!
Our students have celebrated St. Patrick's Day, Harmony Day, participated in AFL Sessions and Cricket Clinics and led assemblies all in the last couple of weeks. With lots more still to look forward to, including our last AFL Clinics, F/1 Assembly, two more Icy Pole fundraising days and a Holy Week Liturgy, ahead of our final day for Term One on Thursday the 6th of April.
Our Parents and Friends Committee have also been busy, welcoming new members and planning fundraising events for our students. Thank you to Charlie (P & F President), Sarah, Brie, Ally, Rochelle, Carley, Shontelle, Beck and Nicole who have become or continued members of our P & F. There are lots of events in the planning currently, with our Bulb Fundraiser coming to an end early April, so if you haven't got your orders in yet, please check out the P & F Fundraising tab on this newsletter to learn how you could do so.
Parent Teacher Meetings and PSGs
Thank you to all of the families who our teachers have already met with to discuss your child's learning. It has been a great opportunity to form those relationships between home and school. We will finalise this process in a week's time with the final PSGs.
The Man from Snowy River Bush Festival Parade & ANZAC Day Parade
We are currently confirming our participation in both of these events, we'll be sure to share details in the next week or so once they are confirmed.
AFL Clinics
This term our students have enjoyed both Cricket and AFL Football sessions. The AFL sessions with Gemma have been a real hit, with students getting to learn many foundation skills, preparing many of them for Round One in the Upper Murray Football Netball League in a few weeks time.
Project Compassion fundraising 2023
Throughout Lent our students have been fundraising for Project Compassion.
Our senior students and leaders have been organising this for the whole school and it has been fantastic to see the pride that they feel in counting the money to see how much we have raised.
I look forward to sharing with you our total that we have raised, after our final 'icy pole fundraiser' on the last Thursday of term.
Prayer: We give thanks for all the people who fill our lives with love. We pray for all those who do not feel loved, especially those yet to appreciate the depth of God’s love. May our support for Project Compassion be a sign to others of the love of God for all people.
