World Mission Day

Last Friday, students from Stage 3 attended Mass ahead of last Sunday's World Mission Day.   Fr Kingsley spoke of the importance days like this can be in recognising our own mission in life - to love one another and care for each other.  Students and staff have been learning about Catholic Mission and its role  supporting those in need - especially the country of Ethiopia.  Together, we can make a difference.

Have you donated to Socktober for Mission Month?

This year we are going 'online' and we are excited to share the following link that Mrs Rheinberger has set up for the school community.  CLICK on the link below to donate.  We are hoping to go 'cashless' this year if possible.

Wow!  Let's see if we can reach our goal of $500!  Simply click on the link to donate to the school's fundraising page.  You can share this link with family and friends straight away - and all through the month of October.

On our usual Wednesday sports day tomorrow, students and staff are invited to wear 'Silly Socks' and bring a gold coin donation - donate using the official link!  We will be welcoming Diocesan Director of Catholic Mission, Jacquie Toakley,  to our school to speak to the students and staff about Catholic Mission and the role they play in raising awareness and funds for those in need.

Prayer

Dear Lord,

For missionaries of all vocations who live in a missionary key and show great courage and joy in proclaiming the Gospel in all lands.

May the testimony of the authentic Christian life build strong communities of missionary disciples around the world.

Amen.

God bless,

Mrs Wendy Rheinberger
