3 WAY CONFERENCES - COMPASS

3 way conferences are open to parents and meeting slots are available for this week. Please book an appointment through Compass with your child's teacher. Please bring your child as it is a collaborative meeting for students/parents and teachers. 

MANNERS MATTER

• It is an expectation that when students speak to members of staff they use their title and surname. We have noticed some younger students referring to staff by their first names and this is not acceptable at St Joseph's.  We ask for your support in this area when referring to staff with your children. ie Miss Pilgrim.  Please check the contacts page in this newsletter if you are not sure of  a staff members title.
• We are proud of our uniform and ask that you ensure your children have the correct uniform items to wear to school and that all items are clearly named. The school tie is also part of the winter uniform so please make sure your child has a tie to wear. 

PUBLIC HOLIDAY

The Prime Minister of Australia has announced a day of mourning for Queen Elizabeth II by way of a public holiday which will take place this Thursday the 22nd of September.  The school will not be open on this day. 

ATTENDANCE 

It is a legal requirement that you log in to Compass to explain all absences within 7 days of your child being away from school, however it is so much easier if you attend to this on the day as soon as you receive the reminder.  

You will not be able to complete this task after the 7 days has passed which means they will be recorded as Absent Unexplained.  

If you are having a trouble accessing all of the Compass features,  there should be a drop down menu on your home page which looks like 3 horizontal lines.  Open this menu and choose 'open in browser'. This will help you access the school portal features. 

SCHOOL FEES

Term 3 accounts were due on September 13th.  Payment options remain unchanged and include via the Qkr App; EFT through bank (please use account number, under date on your statement & surname as reference); CentrePay and ADIG Direct Debit.   

COOLAMON CHALLENGE

Congratulations to Kendall and Sienna (for the previous week) and Nate R and Jack for being drawn out as this week's winners. The answers were:
