A Message from the Principal

Mrs Pauline Long

Dear Parents and Carers,

Healthy Harold visits St Joey’s!

This week the students have enjoyed a visit from the Life Education Van and for our younger students this is the first time they have met ‘Healthy Harold’ in person!  Thank you to Kristy for delivering engaging lessons for all of our students. Thank you also to Colleen Wills for arranging the Catholic Women's Association to pay the cost of the visit and to the local volunteers from the Lions Club who transported the van to our school. What a wonderful community effort.

Our School Garden

WANTED ! Parent or Community Helpers!

Do you love gardening? Can you spare half an hour each week or fortnight to help our students tend the gardens at lunch time? We would love lots of members in our ‘Green Team’. Please ring Kate Thompson to volunteer and early next term we'll arrange a time to meet and plan our wonderful gardens.

End of Term

I wish all our families a wonderful holiday. It has been a busy term and for many families a hard term with recurring illnesses. I hope you can take time to rest, recover and rejuvenate!

Term 4 is always an action packed term beginning on Sunday 9th October with a family Mass at 9.30am and the Colour, Slime and Foam Fun Run from 10.30am. I hope to see you there for a fun family day!

During the term 4 some of the highlights will be:

A Book Fair and dress up family event on Thursday 20th October from 5.00pm. Come          dressed as your favourite Book Character or in line with the theme  ‘Paws for Books:              Come Stay Read a Tale!’

A Silly Sock and Socktober fundraiser for Catholic Missions.

Brain Olympia and a Spelling Bee for our Primary students.

Back to School

Students are to return to school in full summer uniform on Monday the 10th of October.

Happy Holidays
