Sports Report

LMR Athletics

Wet and windy conditions in Bendigo didn't stop our students from performing well at the LMR Athletics.

We had many podium finishes and our students certainly represented our school with great pride, sportsmanship and big smiles on their faces!

Congratulations to the following students who have qualified for the State Titles on Monday 17 October in Melbourne:

Andrea Archibald - 17yr 100m Sprint

Ky Henson - 15yr 1500m

Rosy Marsh - 16yr Long Jump

Lily Marsh - 16yr Triple Jump

Scarlett Southern - 15yr 100m Sprint

Elise Napier - 12-13yr 1500m

Jack Byrne - 12-13yr 1500m

16yr 4 x 100m Relay - Olivia Mathers, Lily Marsh, Rosy Marsh, Scarlett Southern

We wish them all the best of luck at the State Finals and know they will do us proud!

Intermediate Boys Cricket

The Intermediate Boys Cricket Team led by Mr Kenny, had a long but great round one game against Echuca College last week, after a postponement the week earlier.

They then headed to Nathalia for round two, on Monday 10 October, to compete against the other round one winners.

The boys had a good win in the first game but were chasing runs in the second match and unfortunately failed to get over the line.

Well done boys on a great cricket campaign!

Upcoming Sport

We would like to wish the Junior Boys and also the Junior and Intermediate Girls Cricket teams, who are off to play in the Campaspe Rounds, good luck!

LMR Basketball is being held in Bendigo next Wednesday 19 October.  With five teams competing, it's going to be a big day out for our basketballers! Sending lots of luck to all those participating - fingers crossed we'll see you at the State finals!
