Leadership Handover Ceremony

Today we held our 2022 Leadership Handover Ceremony. The Ceremony is both a gesture of gratitude and acknowledgement of the accomplishments and service of our outgoing leaders and a heralding in of our elected leaders for 2022.

The role of our student leaders requires not only an active and visible embodiment of our Franciscan values, but it also requires considerable courage, care, and contribution. Furthermore, it demands a consistent alignment between words and actions – something which we all strive for, but we know, can be challenging for all of us. To all of our Year 12 Leaders, you have left us with an enduring legacy and mantra “ASPIRE TO INSPIRE”.

They say that, ‘successful transition is the last act of a great leader’ and it is the formalities of this process that we now embark upon. We recognise that each cohort of student leaders (outgoing and incoming) is unique and each year will have a different flavour of strengths and attributes, and isn’t this the beauty of change? We welcome each and every one of our incoming 2023 captains.
