Vanuatu 2016

The 2016 Vanuatu team are preparing for their trip at the end of June.

7 students, 3 past students and 3 staff members have enjoyed meeting together a few times already. We have been blessed to share our testimonies, pray together and begin the preparations for our time away. We have decided on our 2016 theme and key verse (Ephesians 4:32) and already have some ideas of songs to sing and share with our friends in Vanuatu. We’ll keep you updated and share more in future newsletters. We’d love you to be praying already for the work that God has prepared for us.

Science Talent Search

An exciting extracurricular school activity run for students in Junior, Middle and Senior School is the Science Talent Search. This is an annual, science based competition open to all primary and secondary students in Victoria.  Students have the chance to investigate a question of interest to them, focused on a pre-assigned topic, using a range of different formats with certificates and money prizes up for grabs.

Craft Club

On Friday lunchtime, students from Junior and Middle School are invited to exercise their creative gifts in the Prep S classroom!

The students from Years 3-8 are enjoying making cards for their family and friends, sometimes using the ideas of others but mostly coming up with their own, unique creations.

The other students, mostly from Prep and Year 1 are loving the opportunity to draw and “make” using different textures and colours of paper. These students are also able to use a variety of “Craft punches” to add to their designs.

It’s wonderful to see the students helping each other as they are working and learning together in this way.
