Dear Friends,
Term 2 has commenced really well with exciting learning activities happening in all year levels.
What a joy it is to be at St Andrews Christian College!
We have a shalom community (parents and staff) committed to providing an excellent Christ-centred education for our children. Everyday we are all learning and journeying together, building up our children to know their purpose in God’s kingdom.
We are continually improving our learning and teaching programs and many facets of the College each year. Feedback from parents through interviews and surveys are important tools in guiding continual improvement. The results of last year’s surveys are included in this newsletter.
We are very focussed on our Strategic Direction Plan for St Andrews, but what is more important is that together we are focused on Jesus in all we do. ‘Excellence-in-Christ’ is achieved by keeping our eyes on Him, travelling His path, in His love.
Just like a rowing team, together in sync, working hard towards the goal, but kept ‘on track’ by listening to the directions from the cox (coxswain). In a crew, the cox is responsible for steering the boat, guiding and coordinating the power and rhythm of all the rowers. Although the rowers’ backs are towards the finish line they keep their eyes on the coxswain, so they can remain on track.
May our College continue to grow in Christ and be His salt and light in the world.
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfector of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1-2
Blessings to you all.
