‘The Addams Family: School Edition'
Throughout the past three months, students and staff have been working diligently to rehearse, plan and create props and sets in lead up to the upcoming production; ‘The Addams Family’.
Recently, students have been attending weekend rehearsals including cast, band and backstage. During these sessions, students have been performing both Act 1 and 2 alongside the band with sets and props. The students have demonstrated incredible leadership skills and team work as we refine key scenes, vocal pieces and dance routines. Our backstage crew have created fantastic sets and props that are unlike anything that they have created before such as torture chambers and graveyards.
At the end of term 2, the cast members visited Holy Eucharist and St Albans Heights Primary School to teach the grade 6 students the opening number of the show. The primary school students were very excited to meet some of the cast members and enjoyed their time dancing and acting. Thank you to all the student leaders who dedicated their time to organise and plan these visits. We would also like to extend this to the transition team at SASC and to the primary school teachers for allowing our students to have this opportunity.
‘The Addams Family’ will take place on Tuesday the 6th, Wednesday the 7th and Thursday the 8th of August, 2019 within the Performing Arts at St Albans Secondary College at 7pm.
If you would like to purchase tickets to this years’ production, they are now on sale every weekday at the general office or at lunch time in H1.
Prices are:
- Adults: $15
- Student/Child/Concession: $10
- Family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children): $40
