2022 House Athletic

Sports Carnival

On the 4th attempt our College Athletics were able to be held. No rain, no dark clouds. Perfect blue sky, warm weather, fresh cut grass.

A sea of blue and yellow descended on Donaldson Park, representing Ansett and Jacka Houses. Students participated in a range of track and field events with both Primary and Secondary performing extremely well. There were tug of war games, relays, sack races and hula hoop races as well to create a great atmosphere.

We witnessed a number of records broken on the day:

  • Noah Winslett
    • 14Y/O High Jump (1.50m)
  • Dylan Caruana
    • 16 Y/O Triple Jump (10.89m)
    • 16 Y/O High Jump (1.52m)
    • 16 Y/O 200m Sprint (25.68)
    • 16Y/O 400m Sprint (1.02.07)
    • 16 Y/O Long Jump (5.28m)
  • Evan McCoy
    • 14/Y/0 Long Jump (4.41m)

Age Group Champions were as follows:

  • Year 6 Champions – Ben Cunningham and Alexis Tansley
  • 12-13 Years – Tate Lovett (Van De Ven) and Kayla Cramp
  • 14 Years – Evan McCoy  and Amelia Buschmann
  • 15 Years – Travis Lowe and Kalais Crees
  • 16 Years – Junior Whyman and Neve Nisbet
  • 17-18 Years – Zen Joyner and Aliza Lockhart

There were also a high number of Primary Students who scored 3s in events with many scoring totals of 19 or more. Remember that if you scored 19 or more on your score card you can submit it to Mr Pettifer before the end of term to claim a $5 canteen voucher.

Well done to all who participated. It was great to finally get our Athletics completed and have all students participating and trying their best. A massive thank you to all of those who helped prior to the day as well as on the day to get a great day organised.

Much appreciated.

Mr P and Miss Milne
