From the Principal

Week 2 Term 3 2022

Dear Parents and Carers

Swimming program

This week our annual swimming program commenced at Camberwell boys grammar.

It's wonderful to be able to have the facility to ourselves!!! The instructors have been amazing and catered to the individual needs of the students. Thank you to Mr Price for organising the program. It is a valuable part of our curriculum and I hope the children have enjoyed the experience. Tomorrow's lesson is on  water safety. The children need to bring the following;

Prep/Year 1  – minimum  a t-shirt (Can bring singlet)

Year 2-6 – T-shirt and shorts.

Book Fair

The Book Fair is currently open from 8.20am each morning and from 3.15pm each afternoon.   Money raised from the book fair go to the purchasing of new books for the library.

Production

Tickets for our Production will go on sale next week. Information regarding the cost, how you can book,  parking etc will all be provided.  Once again thank you to the parents who have volunteered their time to help with costumes and back drops.

Book Week

Our annual book week parade will be held on Friday 26th with the theme "Dreaming with eyes wide open."  A parade will be held in the morning and parents are invited to attend.

Whole school Athletics

Our whole school athletics day will be held at  the Doncaster athletics track, George st, on Monday 29th August. Children are required to be dropped off at the track by 8.45am. For further information please check the Operoo form  that was emailed to you.

COVID update

St Bede's continues to have only a small number of students/staff  affected by COVID. I thank the community for following the directions set out at the beginning of the term and through COVID updates. Just another reminder that RATS and masks (for children 8 and over is highly recommended) are available at the front office.

Have a great week

Brian
