Mr. Carlyle's Message

Dear Families,
It has been an enormous fortnight, with science week, book week and school concert celebrations taking place. Our staff and students have brought a high level of enthusiasm, creativity and showmanship. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our amazing staff for their efforts in the past few weeks, the school has been an amazing community to be a part of this term. A huge shout out to all of our wonderful parents and carers these past few weeks. The highlight for me, was the community turn out at the concert, what a wonderful night it was. There were laughs, smiles and catchy tunes that had as all feeling a sense of pride at the efforts of our students. The energy of our school community was clear for all of us to see and feel. Thank you everyone.
Mrs. Griffith
I would like to take this opportunity to provide some further information about our staff member Melanie Griffith who has been working as our Auslan teacher. Unfortunately, Mel has been dealt an unkind blow in her health with a recent diagnosis of Breast Cancer. At this stage, Mel is going to be taking the remainder of the year off to go through the process of both treatment and recovery. Mel is comfortable and has asked for the community to be aware of what is going on for her personally as she wanted to be transparent with both the students and families. We are wishing Mel all the very best in her treatment and recovery and we look forward to welcoming her back on site. Please take this as an opportunity to discuss health and wellbeing with your children and if you need some support around how to explain a cancer diagnosis to your child here is a great link from the cancer council that can be very helpful.
Parent/Caregiver Opinion Survey
Our Parent/Caregiver Opinion Survey is now open and we would strongly encourage all families to complete this. It provides valuable feedback to us and helps us review school operations to ensure they are meeting the needs of the community.
To log in to take the survey, simply go to the School Portal by either clicking on the link below, or copying and pasting the text into your browser:
https://www.orima.com.au/parent
All parents/caregivers/guardians use the same six-digit PIN, which will be emailed to families separately to the newsletter so as to not be made public and remain available only to currently enrolled families. Responses are confidential for this survey.
Bye for now!
Healthy Lunch Box Choices and Nude Food
Please help reduce waste in our school by packing 'Nude Food' (food without excess packaging) in your child's lunch box. The Healthy Lunch Box Pick & Mix posters below provide some good Nude Food options.
