Semester 1

Awards Ceremonies

It was fantastic to see our Senior students receiving recognition for their hard work throughout the year at our recent Awards Ceremonies. Congratulations to all the recipients of these awards.

We encourage all our students to strive for the new GPA awards, which recognise effort, behaviour and approaches to learning, as well as continuing to strive for Excellence and Endeavour Awards.

Around the school grounds

It was great to see our Senior Psychology students out enjoying the sunshine and having some fun while learning about cumulative risk with mental health factors.

Senior Psychology students also recently made each other compliment cards to help improve self esteem and build resilience.

Miss Lee's Year 11 Psychology class took a moment during their SAC revision to build a replica of the Ames' Room Illusion. The challenge was to make two identically sized objects appear different.

Afterwards, students teamed up to take part in a Tornado Trivia session.

VCE Studio Arts

Wednesday 17 August

VCE excursion to ACCA, Anna Schwartz Gallery and Fortyfive Downstairs.

Students spent a FANTASTIC day with Mr Lyons and Ms Goode visiting galleries as part of their investigation into the industry.

Athletics Day

Senior students embraced the festive atmosphere of the Athletics Carnival, with our Year 12 students coming up with some amazingly creative costumes and having a fantastic day, despite the chilly weather!

Special mention to the aliens whose identity remained a mystery for much of the day, the toy story cast, the ‘Ron Burgundys’ and the long-jumping grandfather from Up, complete with his helium balloons!
