Physical Education

Ultimate Frisbee, better known as Ultimate, is played in over 30 countries worldwide, is a sport at the World Games, and is becoming highly popular in secondary schools and universities. It is a non-contact team sport played with a flying disc (Frisbee). It is simple to learn, fun to play, and is easy to afford - all you need is a frisbee, 8 marker cones and your friends.

Students from prep to grade 6 have enjoyed learning to correctly hold the frisbee, use the crocodile or crab to catch and working on their strategies to play the fast paced game.

It's a game for the whole family!

VISUAL ARTS

The whole school has recently completed a unit on clay modelling. Students just love to use clay for open-ended clay play and exploration, without any prompts or suggestions on what to make.  It's a world of "pure imagination" for them!  As students progressed through the unit, skills, techniques and challenges were presented to them and larger models and sculptures were created.

STEAM

This week, all Students across the school will receive their coding login details to use at home, keep an eye out.  Students in P-2 have been working in code.org, students in gr 3-6 have been working in Tynker.

Performing Arts

The Grade 4/5 and 5/6 have been rehearsing radio plays recently.  They have focused on projecting their voice for the audience and using the context of the story as well as aspects of their character to tell the story.
