Dear families

I hope you are all doing well and remaining safe during this challenging period. I want you to all know that we are thinking of you and your families. Leadership are onsite each and every day working to ensure that each student has access to their remote learning. We are supporting staff and providing them with time to plan and collaborate with each other. We are creating opportunities for online support lessons via our wonderful Literacy and Numeracy support team. We are working closely with our Wellbeing team to support families that may require additional wellbeing support.

Our Multicultural Liaison team is working with us to support our NESB families, they are making calls and reaching out to those who need an extra hand in navigating the online curriculum.

This Wednesday, we are creating time for our students to take a break from the regular online curriculum and offering a timetable of fun activities for students to access. The timetable will be sent via email from your classroom teachers on Tuesday afternoon. The timetable will consist of fun, easy to access tasks that will bring enjoyment throughout the day.

Look out for the Wellbeing Wednesday email from your teachers.

Here are a few photos from our fresh produce contactless stall today. A very successful day offering fresh food to the local community.

Thank you to our supplier Cultivating Community.Moving Feast and a HUGE thank you to Katie Faulkner for reaching out and creating the opportunity to make this happen. Many thanks also to the staff onsite who helped put this together.

Creating Sounds with Makey Makey

In Performing Arts Year 5/6 students have been experimenting with sound by creating pieces of music using a Makey Makey. The kit is designed to connect everyday objects to computer keys. Using a circuit board, alligator clips, and a USB cable, it uses closed loop electrical signals to send the computer either a keyboard stroke or mouse click signal.
