Recruitment of Surveyors

It has been several years since we have recruited new surveyors. Nonetheless, we have received many applications down through the years and have kept these on file.
In the past year we have reviewed these against our core criteria for surveyors and have contacted those who meet the criteria and who had previously expressed an interest in becoming a surveyor.
Two new surveyors were trained in 2020 and we have also reached out to another group of previous applicants to see if they would be interested in undertaking surveyor training in 2021.
The plan is that this new cohort would be trained in Quarter 1, 2021 and would then be mentored on their first survey later in the year.
However, given the growth in the IAP and the possible expansion of our activities with the two new external evaluation programmes currently under development we are now in a position where we need to recruit additional surveyors.
Our core requirements for applicants looking to become an ISQua EEA Surveyor are that they must have:
- Been a surveyor for at least 3 years
- Completed at least 25 days of survey activity
- Senior Corporate management level experience preferably within an external evaluation organisation and / or related health or social care provider
- Experience within an external evaluation organisation at senior level, relevant to the IAP i.e. standards development, organisation evaluation, surveyor training
- Experience within an external evaluation organisation or other training provider in designing and delivering training programmes preferably in quality and patient safety.
Other, desirable requirements include:
- Having formal auditor or surveyor qualification
- Continuing education to maintain skills
The role of an ISQua EEA Surveyor is to validate an organisation’s self-assessment and independently assess their level of achievement, supporting this assessment with a written report containing clear and specific findings, commenting on strengths and areas of best practice and identifying improvements that can be made to further comply with the relevant ISQua EEA standards.
Please note that this position is voluntary with no monetary remuneration.
As all ISQua EEA programmes are delivered through English all applicants must demonstrate an adequate level of proficiency in English and in particular written English. Proof of English language proficiency may be required for those who do not have English as a first language.
We would appreciate if you could circulate this call to staff in your organisation. Anyone interested in becoming an ISQua EEA Surveyor is asked to forward a copy of their CV with a cover letter outlining how they meet the requirements listed above to support@ieea.ch
As individuals who apply from your organisation will essentially be representing your organisation, we will contact you as part of our validation process to confirm that you are supporting individuals’ applications to become ISQua EEA Surveyors.
Applications will be accepted until the 31st of March 2021.
