External Evaluation Award Committee (EEAC)

The External Evaluation Award Committee (EEAC) is a sub-committee of the ISQua External Evaluation Association Board which is responsible for making the decisions regarding accreditation. It was previously called the Board Accreditation Committee (BAC). 

 

The Committee comprises six members as follows:  

 

  • Four (4) members of the ISQua External Evaluation Association (ISQua EEA) Board 
  • The Chair and Deputy Chair of the ISQua EEA Accreditation Council (AC)

 Jeffrey Braithwaite and BK Rana completed their terms on the EEAC in November 2020 and we would like to thank them both for their work, their commitment and support of the Committee and the IAP team over the past number of years.  

 

In December 2020, Wendy Nicklin took over as Chair of the Committee and Shin Ushiro, Japan also joined the Committee. We look forward to working with them on the EEAC.  

 

In 2020, the Committee met 7 times and ratified awards for 13 sets of standards, 8 surveyor training programmes and 2 external evaluation organisations. Our sincerest congratulations to all the organisations concerned.  

 

We would like to acknowledge those who joined the IAP and had standards accredited for the first time in 2020: 

  • The Society for Quality in Health Care, Nigeria; 
  • Labquality, Finland; and 
  • Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, USA. 

 

We would also like to acknowledge the following three organisations who all had their surveyor training programmes accredited for the first time: 

  • Organização Nacional de Acreditação (ONA), Brazil; 
  • American Accreditation Commission International (AACI America LLC), Slovenia; and 
  • Brazilian Institute for Healthcare Excellence (IBES), Brazil.
