Balaclava Swimming Carnival 

On Thursday 18 Feb, 26 Years 3 to 6 students competed for Kilvington against other Balaclava District schools. 

 

Kilvington finished 5th overall and were runners up in the Population trophy. And in the small school category, Kilvington came 2nd!

 

Congratulations to Henry Song who came 1st in the 11YO breaststroke and will now progress to the Beachside Division Swimming Carnival on 5 March.

 

Other notable individual performances include: 

  • Christian Williams - 3rd in 100m Open freestyle, 50m breaststroke and 50m butterfly.
  • Annabelle Liu - 3rd in the 11YO 50m backstroke.
  • Mary Steele - 3rd in the 50m 11YO backstroke and 4th in the 11YO 50m breaststroke.
  • Bridie Steele - 3rd in the10YO 50m butterfly.
  • Macie Power - 4th in the 11YO 50m butterfly.
  • Henry Bath - in the 11YO 50m butterfly.
  • Addi Sey - 3rd in the 12YO butterfly.

Our relay swimmers also displayed excellent teamwork winning many ribbons!

Senior School House Swimming 

On Friday 19 Feb, we held our Senior School House Swimming Carnival at GESAC.

It was a great day with sunshine, teamwork, fun as well as some great results.

  • Years 7 - 9 Cup - Fysh House
  • Years 10 - 12 Cup - Barrett House
  • Aggregate Cup - Fysh House
  • House Cheers - Fysh House

Some records were broken as well:

  • Andrew Moore - Open Boys 50m Butterfly.
  • Annie Steele - 13YO Girls 50m Butterfly; 100m Freestyle.
  • Ben Huang - 13YO Boys 50m Butterfly; 50m Freestyle; 50m Breaststroke; 100m Freestyle.
  • Henry Kiosoglous - 14YO Boys 50m Breaststroke.
  • Hayden Mellow - 14YO Boys 50m Backstroke.
  • Liam Molloy - 15YO Boys 50m Freestyle; 50m Breaststroke; 50m Backstroke.
