Principals' Report

From the principal’s desk

What a busy fortnight it’s been!  We’ve had Illuminate Book Fairs, Year 12 Camp, Student Leadership Induction assembly and morning tea with parents, Advance Camp, our Swimming Carnival and students representing us at the Victorian SRC Student Voice workshop in Wodonga.

Our swimming carnival was a sight to see.  Most of our students competed at some point, either in the races or the continuous house lane. I was impressed by the team chants and team spirit happening throughout the day and by the participation of all or our students and staff.  A big congratulations to the winners, Shadforth house!

I was pleased to induct our student leaders into their school leadership and especially pleased to see so many parents and grandparents come to witness their child’s achievement.  Leadership is no easy task, and I’m looking forward to watching our leaders grow and develop. I was impressed by our house leaders at swimming carnival and impressed by the zeal with which the SRC are taking on the challenge of evaluating our current uniform.  Please keep your eye out for parent surveys as the SRC are tasked with surveying our college community.
