Extend OSHC News
Hi Everyone! (:
This week at before and after school care students enjoyed making their own Pizza – using a variety of healthy toppings, and being able to confidently prepare their Pizzas without educator help. We have been linking our cooking activities with our new Healthy Eating and Healthy Living display – noting what we should cook and consume regularly compared to what we should have as a treat.
On Thursday we made slime – a popular activity for After Care. The group elected 3 Slime leaders to help measure, and pour ingredients as well as guide peers through the process.
We continued our Mini Olympics Enrichment program this week with Hockey. We practised hitting a ball with hockey sticks, how to hold the sticks safely, as well as shooting for goal and having a go at a game of one-on-one!
Students continued to practice their skills during the week, teaching the skills they learned on Monday to their peers and friends.
We will keep you updated on what we learn from educators and peers and what we have achieved so be on the look-out for photos and quotes from students here in the newsletter and in our service room!

The Superstar of the Week is...Mabel M! Mabel is the superstar of the week for effectively and confidently demonstrating the Extend expectations and values during her time at aftercare. Mabel also confidently engaged in all of our afternoon activities, making sure she had a go at everything! Well Done Mabel and Welcome to Extend!

ANNOUNCEMENTS
There is an upcoming Pupil Free Day service at SJPS – Thursday the 7th of March and Friday 8th of March Extend will be running a PFD service. The service will be open between 8am and 6pm. For bookings please go towww.LookedAfter.com.au
