Year 5 Incursion

A visit from Engineers Without Borders (EWB)

From Gemma, Year 5 teacher

Last term, we had an incursion run by students studying engineering at Melbourne University on behalf of EWB. We learnt what engineers do and how they help to increase human quality of life.

We designed vehicles that could deliver medicine to small villages in remote places, in developing countries. We looked at the challenges faced during building projects such as making  budgets, using materials and time constraints.

It was very educational and fun!
