College netballers finish season on high

St Mary’s netball topped of a great season with eight out of 11 teams qualifying for finals in their respective grades, proving once again that playing a school sport can be about both participation and performance. 

Well done to the following teams, players and coaches who made it this far and congratulations to the five who finished on top. 

Year 7 Division 2: St Mary’s defeated MacKillop College.

Year 8 Division 1: St Mary’s defeated MacKillop College.

Year 8 Division 2: St Mary’s Green defeated St Mary’s Blue.

Year 9 Division 1: St Mary’s defeated The Friends’ School. 

Year 10 Division 1: St Mary’s lost to Sacred Heart College.

Year 10 Division 2: St Mary’s defeated Mount Carmel College.

First Grade: St Mary’s lost to Guilford Young College. 

Thanks again to all the parents for their amazing support throughout the season. It’s great to see so many girls participating in a sport, having fun with their teammates and also doing well. Bring on the 2020 season!
