Year 1 team up with Senior School for Science Week

Last Tuesday our Year 1 students headed over to the Sister Majella Kelly Women in Science Centre for a morning of exciting science experiments as part of National Science Week. 

Year 8 visits Hobart’s Islamic Centre

Year 8 students learnt a lot more about different faiths last week when they visited the Hobart Mosque as part of their Religious Education class. 

Tables turn in Design and Materials

Year 7 Design and Materials students have been busy working on their tables which they painted this week in class.

 

Something about Mary

Year 7 students’ knowledge about the Virgin Mary has been improving.  

The class has been researching how people around the world view and display Mary.

Students go Heywire for storytelling

Senior School students got a look-in to life as a journalist and learnt a little more about regional storytelling with a visit from Landline journalist Margot Kelly. We’re looking forward to reading, watching and listening to students’ stories as they get ready to submit them to ABC’s Heywire competition. 

 

Convent goes yellow for Daffodil Day

If you stop by the Convent after dark, you may notice a slight change. A special video, featuring daffodils, is being projected onto the building to mark Daffodil Day, which is Friday 23 August 2019.
