Principal's News

Mr Rodrigues

Dear Families,

Whilst it has been less than two weeks of, 'back to normal' for us at Trinity I am happily beginning to forget life in lockdown and remote learning. Yesterday's Prep 2022 transition morning was a great reminder of normality in schools and I am very grateful that we are able to run our transition program the way it should be run.  A very big thank you to our Junior school teachers and LSOs with the support of Ms Foley, Ms Antonella, Mrs Smith, Mrs Varthalis and our student leaders, for helping to make the first morning at Trinity for our new preps such a memorable and positive experience.  Thank you also to our returning families who certainly helped to make our new families feel very welcome.

If you have not already completed the 2022 Intentions form could you please do so on the GOOGLE FORM HERE as it is very important that we are aware of all students returning next year.

From the Parents and Friends

Christmas Raffle

We're coming to the end of the year and that means it's Christmas Raffle time! Raffle tickets have gone home this week with your children and extra tickets can be purchased at the office. We are now kindly accepting donations of any kind to make up the wonderful Christmas hampers that will be drawn during assembly on the 14th December. Donations can be left with Julie at the office over the coming weeks.

Parents and Friends are asking for volunteers to help with making the hampers in the leadup to assembly. We always love seeing new and returning faces to help and it's a really fun morning filled with Christmas cheer and laughs. It is also a really nice way to get to know fellow parents/carers better. This year the hampers are being decorated by children which is very special. Please contact Jenny on 0455 023 227 if you would like to help.

Thank you greatly in advance for your generosity.

School Operation Guidelines

In these times of constantly changing regulations and rules it is important that we are all up to date with any special requirements placed upon school communities and that we all try our best to follow these guidelines. Probably the most significant restriction at the moment is in relation to vaccination status and how this impacts the activities we run and how these are managed.  Unfortunately none of these are school based decisions and we are compelled to comply with state and system based requirements. I will endeavour to email all families when necessary to outline any expectations or restrictions we must consider especially as we plan for a number of school celebrations which are coming up such as Year 6 Confirmation, Graduation and end of year Christmas Carols.

Vaccination Requirements

At this time, all schools in Victoria are being governed by State and System regulations in relation to vaccination requirements for all staff and visitors to schools. Currently staff, both permanent and casual are required to be fully vaccinated. Volunteers and visitors entering the school buildings are still required to check in and be vaccinated if remaining in the buildings for extended periods. Parents dropping off children or attending the office briefly do not need to check in or show proof of vaccination. Vaccination requirements do not apply to parents and visitors on school grounds outside. We are aware that changes to these regulations may be made and we will endeavour to keep you all updated with the latest information. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your support and patience in these challenging times.

Emergency Management Training

Over the past few weeks each staff member at Trinity has had to complete a very comprehensive Emergency Management module as part of our ongoing commitment to providing a safe environment for each of our children, our parents and staff.  The module as well as practical applications ensures we are well prepared in the case of any emergency situation we may be faced with.

AAP 2022

I am very pleased to report that our school Annual Action Plan, which was put in place at the beginning of the school year, to ensure that all the recommendations which came out of our school review in 2020 would continue to have a focus, has been very successful even under the difficult circumstances of this COVID effected year. In fact our leadership team will be working hard next week to begin putting together our 2022 AAP.  We look forward to reviewing our achievements in 2021 and planning for further school improvement next year.
