CRAZY SOCK DAY

Dear St Fidelis community,

Thank you for all for the great effort for Crazy Sock Day. We raised a lot of money as a school community. We raised $880, fantastic! Thanks for your generosity.

The children and teachers had a fantastic day. The school leaders lead our prayer service and they did an amazing job. They showed true leadership on the day.

Thanks to the Rocillio’s for the coffee and snacks. I had a lovely latte and a chocolate tart. Delicious! I know everyone who got to have a coffee in the morning really appreciated it.

The Socktober Team have sent us a letter to thank us. I have included a copy of the letter below.

Enjoy some of the images above and more on the 'What's Happening in our Learning Spaces' page.  Have a great week.

Dear Sally,

The full-time whistle has blown on World Mission Month, and St Fidelis Primary School, Coburg has been a part of something great. To all of your students and staff, thank you for your commitment to supporting vulnerable children in need through your participation in Socktober. Through your Socktober registration, you are part of a wonderful national movement.

St Fidelis Primary School, Coburg joined over 350 other schools in 26 dioceses across Australia in raising awareness and funds for vulnerable children like Kusa. So far, we’ve raised an incredible $181,000†! Crucially, these funds provide access for children in Thailand, like Kusa*, to education, nutritious food, and reliable healthcare through the Good Shepherd Sisters’ Kindergarten Centre.

I know your school was a part of this great team effort, that will help raise funds for children in need. On behalf of Kusa and his mum Samorn*, and every vulnerable child in Thailand and around the world supported by your school, our sincere thanks.

Best wishes for a happy and safe end to Term 4.
