We are pleased to announce that registrations are now open for the Summer 2022 edition of UWA School Holiday Program, Eurekamp Oz!. Based at the University of Western Australia, Eurekamp Oz!  offers a series of day camps held during school holidays – check out the video on the homepage! Eurekamp Oz! is a collaboration of the University of Western Australia and PEiPL Ltd and is a Children’s University Learning Destination. The activities are adapted from the original Canadian Eurekamp program co-founded in 2009 by our director, Professor Rob Wilson.

Eurekamp Oz! Summer 2022 edition, offers one two-day program (6-7th Jan, 2022) and two four-day programs (10th – 14th & 13th – 20th Jan, 2022). Each of the three programs listed below, will be offered to each of three age ranges (6-8, 9-11 & 12-14 years old) over the first three weeks of January. Click on the program names for dates specific to age ranges:

  1. Game On! explores the intricacies of games and gaming through game-building activities that culminate in the creation of their very own Australian game, which will be launched on the last afternoon, for family, fellow campers and even some professional gamers!
  2. Play On! explores all aspects of the notion of play through play-building activities. Your camper’s creative spark is sure to ignite as they write, produce, direct and act, in a play, premiered on the last afternoon for family and fellow campers.
  3. Rock On! explores music and musicality through instrument-building activities. The end result will be a poetic musical performance for family, friends and fellow campers.

Spaces limited to a maximum of 25 campers per camp per week, so get in quick and register your children at the early-bird discounted rates of $150 (early-bird 2-day) or $290 (early-bird 4-day) before December 17th. We also offer the early-bird discount for multiple-child bookings, including for those who make a pay-it-forward booking or tax-deductible donation via UWA. Your generosity will fund scholarships that help children who would not otherwise have access, to share in the Eurekamp Oz! experience. Full registration, from December 16th is $180 (2-day) or $320 (4-day). If, due to budgetary or other reasons, you are unable to send your child along to Eurekamp Oz!  please fill out a scholarship application and we can try to find them a sponsor!
