Health and Physical Education

It has been fantastic to welcome Health and Physical Education students back to face to face learning the past few weeks. Despite the enjoyable Zoom workouts, Strava runs and bike rides, I think it is safe to say students are much happier to participate in physical activity with the support of their teachers and classmates.

VCE PE Units 3 & 4 students completed their examination on Monday 8th November. It was pleasing to see students take up the offer to attend revision lectures from the company Peak Phys Ed. These lectures are extremely valuable, with experienced exam assessor Rob Malpeli providing revision tips to reinforce concepts Mr Phibbs and Mr Montoya delivered throughout the year. We wish the class of 2021 all the best with their results. Hopefully, they brought their A-game, as the Aussies did in the Cricket T20 World Cup Final the following Monday.

With transition starting next week, a few reminders for students once they receive their timetables. For every timetabled double lesson and sports afternoon, students require:

  • Sports uniform – to be worn all day for timetabled PE lesson and sport afternoon
  • Drink bottle – hydrate to feel great
  • Hat – Mazenod hat preferable
  • Sunscreen – SPF is your BFF
