School Office Closures
The School Main Reception will be closed in the first week of term break (Wednesday 12 - Friday 14 April). The School will be operational and working with contractors, however, families, guests and visitors are welcome to visit the School from Monday 17 April 2023.
School Shop Hours
The School Shop Click and Collect ordering finished yesterday (Wednesday 5 April). Last orders will be distributed today (Thursday 6 April). Online ordered items can be collected from the Main Reception Office (High School students) until 4:30pm today, then from Monday 17 April. Items for Primary School and Clemes can be picked up from those offices until 4pm today or from Wednesday 26 April. The Shop will revert to normal opening hours for the start of Term 2.

New Online Fees Payment Link
There are a number of options available for families to pay their school fees. These include a new online secure web link payment option, along with the existing options, as follows:
- Secure online web link using PayWay. You'll need to enter your account code from the top right of your Statement.
- BPay
- Direct debit
- Funds transfer
- EFTPOS or Credit Card

Mother’s Day Movie
Wednesday 3 May - 4.30pm to 6pm
All students and their families are warmly invited to our Mother's Day event to celebrate their Mum, Guardian, Grandparent or special family friend. This is a free event and is accessible to all students and their families. We will be offering a viewing of the new release movie Marcel the Shell with Shoes On along with complimentary ice cream and popcorn treats.

Completion Of Term 4, 2023 For Years 7 To 9
Reminder to parents with students in Years 7 to 9: As we progress the L@F24+ Program planning and implementation, we are conscious of the work required during December 2023 and January 2024 to assist with the physical set-up of teaching, learning and staff spaces. To assist and support secondary staff and colleagues prepare, the School has decided to make Tuesday 12 December the last teaching day for students in Year 7 to 9. Secondary staff will utilise Wednesday 13 December for the L@F24+ Program logistics. The normal end of year staff day will proceed as planned on Thursday 14 December 2023.
As usual, Students in Years 10 to 12 finish classes earlier than other year groups and Primary Years students will finish their last day of school on Wednesday 13 December. Year 10 students are expected to attend the end-of-year High School Assembly mid-morning on Tuesday 12 December. On completion of the High School Assembly, Years 7 - 9 students return to the High School to be dismissed shortly after, at 12.30pm.

Quaker Meetings for Worship
All members of The Friends’ School community are welcome to attend our Meeting for Worship any Sunday from 10.00am, closing about 11.00am, with morning tea available afterwards.
Children are always welcome and there is a Children’s Meeting held concurrently with the Meeting for Worship. They learn about Quaker values through a range of interesting and fun activities. Around 10.50am the children join the Meeting for Worship, settling into the gathered Meeting for the last 10 minutes, usually sitting with their parents.

Thursday Morning Meeting for Worship
Members of The Friends' School community are welcome to attend a short Meeting for Worship held each Thursday morning during term time, starting at 7.45am. Just come quietly in when you can and join us until 8.20am in the Hobart Quaker Meeting House, which is located just below the Clemes office on Boa Vista Road.
Community Yoga
An inspiring way to start your day with energising movement, focused breathing and a moment for relaxation and stillness. All members of the school community are welcome to attend our Wednesday morning sessions from 7.45 - 8.15am in The Farrall Centre. Mats provided. Please feel free to come at any time.
