Have you thought of helping out on a school sub-committee or working group?
Hello everyone!
A few families have asked how they can contribute at school.
Now we have all had a bit of a chance to recover from our wonderful Lee St Fete, we thought it might be a good time to send out details about the sub-committees and working groups that help make our school tick.
Currently, seven groups meet regularly and contribute to different aspects of our school.
- Policy and education subcommittee: input into school policies and student learning
- Buildings and grounds subcommittee: input into maintenance and new works.
- Finance subcommittee: input into financial monitoring and processes.
- Fundraising subcommittee: organising events to raise money (e.g. fete, trivia night, art show and others).
- Wellbeing and Inclusion subcommittee: provides advice and support around access and equity issues.
- Reconciliation Action Plan working group: input to ensure learning on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and culture is embedded.
- 150th birthday working group: organising our school’s 150th birthday this year (July).
The dates for each sub-committee meeting are below.

Curriculum and Other Contributions
We would like to thank all our families who have so far contributed to the school this year through payment of curriculum contributions and other contributions (such as to the Building Fund, Library Fund, or towards additional education support, a grounds master plan or first aid supplies), and ask that if you have not yet, could you please consider doing so.
Your curriculum contribution covers the cost of items and activities that students use, or participate in, to access the curriculum. For example, stationery items, home reading journal or diary, headphones, Visual Art materials, Science supplies, and support of student owned and school devices, along with various subscriptions to online learning portals. The school was able to access a significant discount for the bulk purchase of school supplies, so the amount requested is as low as possible.
The curriculum contribution varies per year level and is as follows:
Foundation: $135.00
Year 1/2: $114.00
Year 3/4: $146.00
Year 5/6: $135.00
Payment can be made through Compass, or alternatively by phone or over the counter.
Please note: donations to the Building Fund and Library Fund are tax deductable.
