5/6- Presentation of ANZAC Day Assembly

In Week 1, the 5/6 Students presented assembly all about ANZAC Day. The students explained the meaning behind the ANZAC Day holiday and the importance of remembering those brave men and women during war and peace keeping events. They also explore the Dawn Services which happen around Australia, New Zealand and significant places of remembrance.

We were also very lucky to have Ian and Sarah (Year 6 and 4 parents) who gave an address to the students about their service in the Australian Defence Force. Sarah spoke, not only about her experiences, but also the importance of team work and related that to students across all year levels.

We greatly appreciate Ian and Sarah's time.

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them."
