Year 5/6 Interschool Gala Sports Day

On Friday, 5 May, the Year 5/6 students were involved in a Sports Gala Day. We headed to Mahoney's Reserve in Foresthill to play against many other schools. All students loved playing either T-Ball, Soccer or Volleyball. There were lots of students from many different schools and it was fun meeting all the different kids. I played Volleyball and our team played really well but unfortunately didn't win any games. Those playing T-Ball really enjoyed it and there was great sportsmanship amongst the students. When we weren't playing we were cheering on the other teams. We always shook hands and congratulated each other at the end. The soccer teams played really well and made it to the finals. It was a close match and they received a runnners up flag. We all enjoyed the day and it was a lot of fun participating.

Bike It Program - Year 3-6

'Mini Bike It' is an outdoor bicycle skills event that enables students to ride a bike safely and independently. It is structured as a round robin of skill activities and lessons, that teams of students participate in over the course of half a day. It is all about the learning, practice and demonstration of bicycle skills and behaviours in a safe environment and with an exciting atmosphere.

If your child doesn’t have a bike, Don’t worry, as we have been fortunate enough to have the council organise some bikes for us to use! We can’t wait to be involved.

Cross Country

Last week all Year 3-6 students particpated in a Cross Country Trial at Halliday Park. We were very impressed with the stamina and strength of many of our students.

We will be taking a team of 36 students to the District Cross Country event next week and wish them the best of luck.

We hope to see them all at Marathon Club in the morning to help with their training.
