Aussie of the Month
This term we will be starting to acknowledge our students who are demonstarting strong citizenship skills. We will do this through Aussie of the Month.
Aussie of the Month is delivered through Auspire and supported by the Australian Government, National Australia Day Council and Pilot.
Each month we will be looking for a junior (Year Prep to Year 2) student and senior (Year 3 to Year 6) student to name as our Aussies of the Month.
The values the program is highlighting are:
Fair Go - not just how we apply ourselves but providing opportunity for all
Mateship - generosity of spirit and compassion for those in need
Respect - of self, others, our community, and the environment
Inclusion - celebrating of difference and the rights we are all entitled to.
Our First Aussies of the Month will be announced on Friday 2nd June. Parents will be notified if their child has been selected and the children will be celebrated in the school's newsletter.
Acknowledging our ES Staff
Tuesday 16th May was National ES Day and is a time that we get to acknowledge and thank our support staff for their work at the school:
Vicky Cai - Business Manager
Jeanette Davies - Administration
Kerry Haley - Integration Aide
Soniya Chan - Integration Aide
Anne Fisher - Integration Aide
Juvi Pacana - Integration Aide
Jenny Klein - School Nurse
Gemma Bowen - Speech Therapist
Our ES staff fill a range of roles, all of which are essential for the smooth running of the school and the strong support we are able to provide students and parents.
