LENT - Holy Week School Prayer

Last Sunday (Palm Sunday) marked the beginning of Holy Week. As a school community, we began each day in prayer  focusing on the events of Holy Week, the most important week of the Church’s year. This is the week when we remember the last days of Jesus’ life on earth, a time of both joy, great suffering and sorrow. Thank you to all the parents and friends who joined the staff and students at this time.

During Lent, we have tried to follow Jesus’ way.  It is the way of love and the way of forgiveness.  As a school community, we will gather to follow in Jesus’ footsteps as we remember the events of Holy Week and prepare ourselves for Easter.

On Monday Stage 1 students focused on Palm Sunday, when Jesus was welcomed into Jerusalem like a King.

On Tuesday Stage 2 focused on the events of Holy Thursday when Jesus shared a meal and washed the apostles' feet, as a great act of love and service.

On Wednesday Year 5 will reminded us of Jesus praying in the garden, his arrest and his sentence

On Thursday Year 6 focused on Good Friday ‘Stations of the Cross’.

Easter School Prayer

On the first morning back next term (Wednesday 26 April) Kindergarten students and teachers will lead the school community in prayer focusing on the joy and hope of the Easter season. Easter is a time of new beginnings with Christ as our light. On Easter Sunday, Christians celebrate the day Jesus was resurrected – the day he rose from the dead.

As a school community, we are challenged to continue Jesus’ mission of LOVE and outreach to the poor and needy in our community and in the world today? We wish all within our school community Peace and Joy this coming Easter Sunday and throughout the Easter Season.

ANZAC Day

The school community will commemorate ANZAC Day with a liturgy at the beginning of our Week 1 Friday afternoon assembly (28 April). Please note the assembly will begin early at 1:45 pm.

All are most welcome to attend!
