Principal's Page

Dear Parents and Carers

It is with a grateful heart we give thanks for all we have experienced and achieved throughout the start to 2023. The students have made great strides in their learning and have adapted quickly to new learning environments and engaged actively and thoughtfully. It is wonderful to see the joy on our student's faces as they discover new skills and knowledge. Please click on the link below to view a video of the students engaged in their learning.

As discussed previously Writing and Mathematics are two key focus of the teachers' work in 2023 as we critically evaluate our teaching practices to ensure all students are meeting their learning goals. The staff will engage in professional development with the support of the Catholic Education Office on Monday 24 April to further unpack research and teaching practices related to writing.

All students will return to school on Wednesday 26th April in full summer uniform ready for school photos. Please be mindful of uniform expectations in preparation for this.

I wish you and your families much joy as we wait in anticipation of the Hope that Easter Sunday brings.

For all things at St Joseph’s, give thanks!

What are you grateful for this week?

Philip Moore

Acting Principal

How does my child receive a Principal's Award?

Class teachers nominate students for Blue Merit Awards and are presented at the weekly assembly.  When five Blue Merit Awards have been received, students send them to the school office to be recorded and are then eligible for a Principal’s Award. When students attain their 4th Principal Award, they are awarded a Principal’s Medallion at an assembly. End of Term awards can be included as part of the 5 awards.

Acknowledgement to Country
