Murrup Spirit

I had a dream… that one day this school would rise up and live the true meaning of community spirit.  And on the 21st June 2023. represents this dream coming true.

CSPS lit up in a sea of purple hues to celebrate our new building as a community.

Murrup - spirit was a word bequeathed to us by a Boonwurrung Elder and we use this word with pride.  The CSPS Spirit was indeed in evidence throughout the day by past, present and future community members onsite.

May Murrup remind us moving forward that the Cranbourne South Spirit will always live strong in our families, in our community, in our hearts and in our souls.

See below a copy of the Assistant Principal and Principal speeches.

What a fantastic day we had on Wednesday the 21st June celebrating all that is the Cranbourne South Primary School spirit.  The students participated in 4 activities across the morning, had a special hot dog lunch and finished the day with assembly.  Many past staff and families attended this assembly. It was lovely to hear from past Principal, Terry Hope and a long time family of CSPS in the Dean family - Rob and Lyn. Both speeches highlighted that "Cranbourne South Primary ...is not just a school where you send your kids. (For the Dean's) it's been a fabric of our lives where we have seen our children and grand children grow and be educated to step forward into the next stage of their education and beyond."

See a copy of this speech below.

Thank you to the team who organised this day.

Crossing Supervisors - new times

There are two pedestrian crossings directly associated with CSPS:

  1. Pearcedale Road - closest to Botanic Ridge Estate
  2. Browns Road - directly outside the main Administration building

The crossing is staffed daily by the City of Casey, 8.30 - 9.00am and 3:10 - 3:50pm.

On occasions, CSPS may be informed that the crossing cannot be staffed.  It is not the jurisdiction of CSPS staff to uphold this role. Any queries or concerns relative to this are to be directed to the City of Casey.
