What's Happening

JAPANESE DAY – Hiroshima Peace Afternoon
Colours, creative costumes, and captivated students abounded on Friday, 4th August. Our Japanese afternoon was spent making orizuru (origami paper cranes) in recognition of Hiroshima Peace Day. As a school, we folded more than 200 paper cranes and coloured in paper crane decorations. Please come in and have a look at the orizuru when it is on display in the foyer before being sent to the Peace Park and Monument in Hiroshima, Japan.
Thank you to Mrs. Foster and Mrs. Plumb for allocating time to our cultural day, Sue and her canteen helpers for putting together over 400 sushi lunches, staff for their help in preparing and running the activity, parents for helping with costumes and to our students for having a go and embracing the day.
