ATHLETIC SPORTS

Next Tuesday 15th August, 60 students will represent Murrumbeena Primary School at the Bentleigh District Athletics. These will be held at Duncan Mackinnon Reserve. We wish them all well and hope they have a fantastic day. Thanks to Tracey Nelson and all of the staff who have given up their time to assist with training, and to the students who have worked hard to get to this level.

SCHOOL CONCERT

Preparation for the concert on Tuesday 19th September is now well underway across the school. It’s sure to be a great night! There will be plenty of room within the Palais Theatre to seat mums, dads, grandparents and friends.

Tickets for our concert are on sale today,  through Ticketmaster and the Palais box office.

Murrumbeena Primary School students do not need to purchase a ticket and will be seated together for the duration of the performance. Tickets for this great event will be $37 each. This is a slight increase from last year to cover costs, including buses for the rehearsal. Please support your child/children by buying tickets. A great deal of effort goes into running this event and we hope to make it a night to remember.

This year, the theme is Rock and Roll, so please come and see Murrumbeena PS presents, 'Rock On'.

Ticketmaster also adds a transaction fee and, unfortunately, the school has no control over this cost.  There is no fee if purchased directly from the Box Office at the Palais.

PARENT OPINION SURVEY 2017

The Parent Opinion Survey is an annual survey conducted by the Department of Education and Training amongst a sample of randomly selected parents at each school. Approximately 30 per cent of parents were sent letters home last week via their child and were invited to participate in this year’s survey.

The survey will be conducted online by ORIMA Research Pty Ltd and only takes 15 minutes to complete. It can be accessed via desktop computer, laptop, tablet or mobile at any convenient time within the fieldwork period from Monday 7 - Sunday 27 August.

The survey results will be reported back to our school at the end of September. A summary of the survey will be reported back to the school community through school council, the annual report and the school newsletter. It is designed to assist our school in gaining an understanding of parents’ perception of school climate, student engagement and relationships within our parent community. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.

If you have been randomly selected to complete the survey, please do so within the time frame allocated as we really value your opinion about our great school. All responses to the survey are anonymous.
