Club Development

From the Training Director

In case you missed it, Princess Royal Sailing Club now has eleven qualified Australian Sailing keelboat instructors.

This puts us in a confident position to offer the long-awaited SheSails Training program - read on for details.

SheSails Keelboat Training program

Women aged 15+ from the great Southern region are invited to embark on a six-week Start to Crew and Start to Helm course for keelboats, offered by qualified Australian Sailing Keelboat Instructors as part of the Australian Sailing's Discover Sailing program.

The course is delivered over a minimum of 18 hours of hands-on training over six sessions, at a ratio of one instructor to four participants, delivered in sessions of three hours during September and October. Participant learning is supported by an easy-to-read Australian Sailing manual for keelboats (yachts).

Participants will be guided through the program with the goal of graduating as confident and competent crew and/or helmspersons at PRSC's Opening Day on 19 October.
