Mental Resilience

A point of discussion that has emerged these Olympics (apart from our fabulous Boomers’ bronze!) is mental resilience. Mental strength is a quality that helps a person at every stage and in every area of life (not just sport!) – and it is something that we can actively encourage and nurture in our children.

  1. They empower themselves
  2. They adapt to change
  3. They know when to say ‘no’
  4. They own their own mistakes
  5. They celebrate other people’s success
  6. They fail…and try again
  7. They persist
