PSG Fun Run Pizza Parties

On Friday, 10 September, our Pre-Prep and Henderson Primary students will be rewarded for their wonderful fundraising efforts with a lunchtime pizza party. All dietary requirements will be catered for as these two student groups celebrate their outstanding fundraising contributions. Thank you to Beatrice Peters and the wonderful PSG for their continued support and acknowledgement of our junior students.

Please note the following schedule for Primary Leaders and Co-curricular photos, which will be held in Week 10 on Wednesday 15 September. Times listed are indicative and subject to change on the day as needed. 

 

All students involved are to be dressed in their full and correct uniform as required for their photo (e.g. Summer Uniform, CC Tracksuit – jacket and pants).

Film Festival

Next term, Clayfield College will be hosting its inaugural red carpet ‘Shining Lights’ Film Festival. The theme of the festival is ‘Connection’. All students from Prep to Year 6 are eligible to enter in either small groups or as an individual. There will be a Prep - Year 3 and Years 4 - 6 section. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:

  • Best Acting
  • Best Storyline
  • Best Costume
  • Best Title
  • Best Production
  • Best Musical/Dance
  • Best Creative use of Green Screen

The overall winner will be the Head of Primary for the Day! The class with the most creative entries will be awarded a pizza party. Entries are due by Tuesday 12 October and are to be submitted to Mrs Angela Clark via a OneDrive link to aclark@clayfield.qld.edu.au or on a named USB.  Please see the flyer below for entry details. Grandparents' Day 2021

Due to COVID restrictions and our concern for the vulnerability of our elderly community, Grandparents' Day has been cancelled this year. We apologise for any disappointment caused as this is one of the most anticipated days on the College calendar. We hope to be able to share this day amongst our Primary community again in 2022 and thank you for your understanding.

Primary Sports and Andrews Cup Notices

 

Britton Shield Cricket Training and Competition (Years 3-5 Boys)

 

As per the communication emailed home on Wednesday 1 September, please see below a copy for your review and action by 8:00 am Monday 6 September.

 

Andrew Cup Athletics

 

The Andrews Cup Athletics Competition will take place on Tuesday 7 September at 9:00 am - 2:45 pm. It will be held at the QSAC Athletics Facility, Kessels Rd, Nathan.

 

Please see the below communication for further details about this Competition and ensure that you have responded via the link to indicate your daughter’s transport arrangements at the conclusion of the carnival.

 

Andrews Cup Gymnastics

 

The squad appears on the Primary Croc board along with the training days required by each gymnast. Training continues from 6:40 am sharp to 8:00 am on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. 

 

Please note that Tuesday morning will be the compulsory session for all squad members. Girls who do club training outside of AC training will need to ensure that they have negotiated their training days with Mrs Richardson and Georgina. 

 

Andrews Cup Basketball

 

The squad appears on the Primary Croc board.

Training continues on the following days - please note pick up locations.

  • Thursday 26 August: 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm (College Oval outdoor court) - Pick up from Circular drive. 
  • Friday 27 August: 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm (Clayfield College PE Centre) - Pick up directly from the PE Centre Carpark

Girls are required to attend both sessions.
