Term 3

Feature News: Visual Arts

This term students have once again risen to the challenge to get creative at home. Some outstanding applications of creativity came from our senior students who created shadow art and nature art inspired by the Chinese artist Red Hong Yi. Students took to their tweezers and created delicate designs depicting birds of all kinds with tiny petals and sticks. The manga art activity was a popular one with our 5/6 students who created anime inspired characters portraits.

Junior students got crafty in the kitchen creating edible art based on the story ‘Your birthday was the best’ that involved a clever inclusion of a not so edible critter. Many junior students created three-dimensional cakes showcasing their construction skills as well as their imagination decorating the cake. I like to thank all students and their caregivers for the dedication and effort they have shown this term in trying circumstances and wish you all a wonderful and restful term break filled with inspiration and joy.
