OSHClub News

OSHClub remains open for Before and After School Care for the children of essential workers and vulnerable children.

Any bookings that were already in the system prior to the lockdown, and that are no longer needed, have been marked as absent. There will be no charge to families for any bookings that are marked as absent during the period of the current lockdown.

Early Finish - Friday 17th Sept

We are offering an extended After School Care session on Friday 17th Sept, which will run from 2:30 - 6:00pm.

Holiday Program

Holiday Program bookings are now open.

At this stage, the children of authorised workers and vulnerable children are eligible to attend. However, in anticipation that restrictions may change, bookings from other families are welcome. Families will not be charged for any holiday program bookings that cannot be used and need to be cancelled.

We are lucky to be able to run a range of self-guided incursions these holidays, which do not involve outside providers being onsite. This means that, regardless of restrictions, these incursions are guaranteed to go ahead. The upcoming incursions are:

Tues 21st - Tie Dye Workshop

Wed 22nd - Dog Safety with Leonie and Bonnie

Mon 27th - Pokemon Training

Tues 28th - Laser Tag in the Schoolyard

Please note that the Coles Healthy Kicks AFL incursion has now been cancelled.

We want to reassure you that the health and safety of all children in our care remains our top priority. We continue to follow all directives received from the Government to ensure best practice is adhered to in the management of COVID-19. Our COVID-19 Risk Assessment is available to view at the service.

Staffing

On Friday we farewelled Haylie. A change in Haylie's university timetable means that she is no longer able to fulfil the permanent educator role and also attend classes. We hope to see Haylie as a regular casual at Mount Peasant Road OSHClub in the future!

This week we welcome Leonie Keilour as our new Permanent Educator. Leonie is known to many of the children, having worked at Mount Pleasant Road on a regular basis as a casual educator.

QR Code Check-in

Please continue to come to the OSHClub room door to drop off or pick up your children. If you need to enter the room to support your child's transition to or from OSHClub, you are now required to scan the displayed Victorian Government QR Code.

QR codes will be required to be used by all visitors who enter indoor spaces, including:

  • all parents and carers.
  • all visitors, including contractors and external OSHClub staff.

When does the QR code need to be used?

Not RequiredRequired
  • When a parent/carer remains outside of the room and does not enter into the space.
  • When a parent/carer enters the room.

Parent Information

Enrolling Your Child

For new enrolments, please go to www.oshclub.com.au. There you will find the 'Register Your Child' tab under the 'Families' tab.  This will take you to the iParent Portal account sign up page. Once signed up, search for Mount Pleasant Road OSHClub under the 'Find a Place' tab and follow the instructions. Once your enrolment is complete it will be forwarded to the service for review.

Drop off and Pick Up Procedure

Parents are welcome onsite to drop off and collect children from OSHClub. Please only come to the door and not inside the room. Please also ensure that you are wearing a mask.

As part of our COVID-19 risk management plan, an OSHClub staff member will continue to sign children in and out on the iPad until further notice.

Cancellation of Bookings

IMPORTANT: If your child is booked in for an after school care session and that booking is no longer required, please cancel the booking on the iParent Portal. If you are cancelling on the day, please contact us on the program phone before 3:15pm.

We are responsible for all children booked into our care. If a child does not arrive to after school care when booked in to attend, we will need to confirm the whereabouts of the child by contacting parents/guardians and emergency contacts. If we cannot successfully do this, it then becomes a missing child incident and will need to be referred to police.

As you can imagine, this can be very stressful!

Thanks for your cooperation by notifying us of any after school care absences moving forward.

Online bookings for each session close 24 hours in advance.
